There are so many voices in this world, and especially today, thanks to social media. We can make our opinions known. I have been struggling with this for quite a while, but what voice do we listen to. Do we listen to God's voice, or do we listen to the world's voice? What kind of voice do we listen to. Should we listen to our youth minister's or pulpit ministers' voice? Should we listen to our teacher's or professors' voices? Should we listen to our parent's or our family's voice?
While I am not saying that we shouldn't listen to these people. I am saying that sometimes it all gets confusing. Sometimes my youth minister or my parents say something or do something that I don't fully understand or respond to something that I disagree with, and I wonder how do I respond to this. How do I still honor these people's authority over me? I often feel like superman, and I hear all these voices, and I don't know what to do.

Other times I find myself in the past wondering how I could've done something different and wondering how I can fix this. There are two things you have to realize first off; you are not in control. Many times we have the illusion of power, and we think that we can do anything. Well, news flash, you can't. You are not in control of anything. Only God is. Second, off we can't go back in the past to change things. The best we can do is learn from it and move on.
One last thing I want to add is while it's important to listen to your parents and people who have authority over you. It is also essential to listen to God's voice and His voice alone. Often, the tasks God puts out for us are demanding and require effort, but it is essential to realize that God has a plan for us, and we are just on the ride. So, brothers and sisters, I challenge you to listen to God's voice and His voice alone and don't get distracted by other voices in this world.
