Theme Verse: But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. (NKJV)

What does it take to have faith in God? This is a question that I ask myself a lot. Because too many times, I find myself wondering. If I trust God or if there even is a God, especially in our broken world. It's sometimes hard to have faith in God during hard times, especially when all kinds of bad things happen. Proverbs 3: 5-6 says Trust in the Lord with all your heart,

And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

In other words, it's okay to doubt. It's also okay to question what God is doing. But we still need to trust Him. If you look throughout the bible, you see lots of people doubt God. For example, Abraham and Sarah questioned that God would give them a son. (Genesis 16-18) And Thomas doubted that Jesus was raised from the dead. (John 20: 24-29) I mean, there are lots of people in the bible who doubted God would be able to do something. But through it, all many of those people still chose to trust in God.

So I want to leave you with a challenge during this time of COVID 19, protests, and whatever else is going on in this world still trust that God will help you through it. Yes, it'll be hard, and I'm still working on this part. But to quote the movie, God's not dead, "God is good, all the time, and all the time, God is good. God is in control of the good times and in bad times. And he's always God, and nothing can change that.
